Aikido Ryu offers you a rich and healthy life through Aikido.

THE PURPOSE OF TESTING

In aikido, there are no contests or competitions.
However; as the seasons mark the passage of time or the knots in bamboo mark the levels of it`s growth; so does aikido have it`s seasons and levels. Thus, tests are held at Ryu Dojo three times a year - around the middle of the month in March, July and December. Through regular testing, students are able to move up through the levels one by one, thereby monitoring the improvement in their ability and the progress of their personal growth.

TEST APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Members who wish to test should fill out an official test application form and submit it, along with the test and certificate fee, to either the Ryu Dojo Administration Office or to any one of the instructors.
Test application forms should be submitted at least one week before the test date.
The exact test dates are announced closer to the test time.

TEST RESULTS

Test results are announced a few days after the test.
Attendance at Winter and Summer Training is taken into account when considering test results.
After promotion in rank, members who require a belt can order them from their instructor.
