AIMS AND SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF AIKIDO

One of the goals of aikido is to contribute to the realisation of a rich and peaceful society through mental and spiritual training.
One of the main concepts in aikido is the blending of your ki (spirit or energy) with that of your partner. Because blending with your partner's power means there is no competition or conflict between you, aikido does not require a great deal of physical strength and is therefore a Japanese martial art that anyone at any age can do.

HOW TO JOIN

Click on the button below to download an application form. Please submit the completed application form, along with the enrollment fee, to the Ryu Dojo Administration Office or to any of the instructors. Forms can be submitted in person, by e-mail; post or fax.

Ryu Dojo Administration Office hours are from 12:00-17:30 everyday (except Mondays and public holidays).

New members who require a dogi (training uniform) can order them directly from us. Dogis cost between 5,500yen and 7,000yen for children; and between 9,000yen to 11,000yen for adults.
